Answer: Speed networking is a structured networking event where Women in Business have short, timed conversations with several different people. When the time is up, participants rotate and meet someone new.
Answer: Conversations typically last 4–5 minutes, although the exact time depends on the event. The goal is to quickly introduce yourself, learn about the other person, and identify possible ways to connect.
Answer: Start with who you are, what you do, and what you're looking for. Ask the other person about their business, career, interests, or goals. Focus on things you have in common and opportunities to help each other.
Answer: Bring 40 to 50 Business cards. You can also exchange contact information digitally through LinkedIn, email, or another professional networking platform.
Answer: Dress Business Casual for the event. Looking polished and feeling comfortable can help you feel more confident.
