Our initial focus was to bring a fresh, independent, and local perspective to breakfast in Ahwatukee in 2009. The expansion of our Sonoran-style menu into lunch and dinner has been a big hit with our regulars, along with our extensive wine and beer menus. Our dishes follow our philosophy of using local ingredients. By preparing them simply, fresh, and with great intention, our food combines the style of classic American cafes and Southwestern diners. Some of our most popular items like the chilaquiles, our house-made guacamole and chips, and our pulled pork sandwich are staples in our regular’s diets.
In addition to great food, we LOVE our drinks! We have a full espresso bar that offers to-go beverages, and our coffee is made using local beans (try the Hillside Blend!) We also LOVE the Craft Beer movement. There is nothing like running up to your local spot and grabbing a burger and a beer - especially if it's a quality burger and a locally brewed beer. We have over 100 craft beers to choose from, many of them from Arizona breweries. We have several local beers on draft with handles that are constantly changing with the season in addition to our huge fridge of bottles and cans. You can get a 6-pack to go for only 9.99, so that you can try new local breweries at home (for a steal)!
Freshness is just as important to us as using local ingredients. We don’t have a freezer or a microwave, and most of our ingredients are delivered each day. Our mesquite rotisserie and grill (custom made in Mesquite, TX) provides a wonderful flavor to our pulled pork, pollo asado, carne asada and hamburgers. Additionally, we grind our beef on-site each day for the freshest taste possible. We bake our own scones, muffins, pastries, cookies and cakes, making each batch from scratch. Our french fries arrive as whole potatoes and take several hours of preparation before they arrive at your table. We could go on, but you get the point!
